About the President and Founder

Dan Moriarty is the principle and founder of Moving with Character™. Dan has 10 years of direct teaching experience in the public school system as an elementary and middle school Physical Education teacher in the Parkway School District in St. Louis, MO. As a teacher, Dan understands the stress and demands of trying to manage students in the classroom. Dan also has over 30 years of martial arts experience, and has achieved the rank of 6th degree black belt, so he understands the benefits of applying the martial arts principles to the classroom and how those principles directly improve academic achievement. For the last five years, Dan has taught his Moving with Character™ programs to public and private schools around the St. Louis region. Through the MWC programs that Dan has developed, he is able to help schools create a climate where students, teachers, and parents are empowered to do their best work and reach their full potential.
